Sarah Ferguson was in good spirits as she left King Edward VII’s hospital in Marylebone on Wednesday following a malignant melanoma diagnosis, just months after a breast cancer scare.

The Duchess of York was seen leaving her appointment in London, smiling and waving to well-wishers. She told fans, “I’m fine, thank you,” as she left the hospital in a navy blazer, matching skirt, black tights, and loafers. Fergie had an eight-hour operation last July to remove a breast after a routine mammogram revealed cancer.

Despite her recent skin cancer diagnosis, Fergie remains positive. She posted on Instagram, expressing gratitude to her medical team and stating she is “in good spirits” and “thankful for the many messages of love and support.”

A close friend described her as “amazing, always looking for the positive in any situation,” and confident that she will overcome this disease with the same bravery she showed during her breast cancer battle.

Fergie plans to use her experience to raise awareness and encourage others to get checked for skin cancer, in honor of her late friend Carolyn Cotterell, who died from the disease in 1999. Her father, Major Ronald Ferguson, was also diagnosed with skin cancer before his death in 2003.

This news coincides with health updates for King Charles and the Princess of Wales, who are both undergoing treatments for their own health concerns.
