Sophie Turner’s friendship with Taylor Swift couldn’t have come at a better time. Last September, when Turner’s estranged husband Joe Jonas filed for divorce, she found herself in New York without a place to stay with her daughters, Willa and Delphine. In need, she reached out to Swift, who immediately offered her apartment for free.

“Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year,” Turner shared in her June 2024 *British Vogue* cover story. “She took my children and me and provided us with a home and a safe space.”

 

Though Swift briefly dated Jonas years ago and wrote “Forever & Always” about their short romance, her friendship with Turner deepened after Turner’s recent split. They have supported each other on social media and at events over the years, even appearing together on *The Graham Norton Show* in May 2019.

In September 2023, Swift and Turner made headlines after a girls’ night in New York City, weeks after Turner’s divorce news broke. Turner and her daughters stayed at Swift’s NYC home, with a source confirming Swift’s ongoing support.
