Meghan Markle Accused of Leaking Names in Royal Race-Row

Meghan Markle faces accusations of leaking the names of King Charles and Kate Middleton in relation to the ongoing royal race-row. The controversy ignited when Dutch copies of Omid Scobie’s new biography, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival,” mistakenly included their names. Markle had previously accused these senior royals of making comments about her son Archie’s skin color in a letter to King Charles.

The revelation of the names came to public attention during an episode of Piers Morgan’s “Uncensored” series. Morgan explicitly named King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales, which has led to significant backlash. “I’m going to cut through all this crap. I’m going to tell you the names of the two senior royals who are named in that Dutch version of the book,” Morgan declared on his show.

Palace insiders, however, have suggested that it is highly unlikely the names were leaked from Markle’s letter, which is reportedly kept secure. “It’s vanishingly unlikely the names came from here,” an insider told The Sun, pointing the finger at the Sussex camp instead. Another Palace source described the leak as a “nasty and deliberate attack.”

Despite the growing controversy, both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on the matter. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex first brought these allegations to light during their high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021. During the interview, Markle claimed that there were “several” conversations within the Royal Family about the potential color of Archie’s skin.

In response to the leak, Xander Publishers, the company behind Scobie’s book, announced they had received a request from the United States to halt sales. “We have, however, received a request to put the title on hold, and that is what we have done,” a spokesperson for the publishing house stated.
