In the latest twist of the royal drama, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle find themselves increasingly isolated, as their once glittering circle of celebrity friends appears to be dwindling. According to Paul Burrell, a former butler to Princess Diana, the former royal couple is now seen as a “side show” in America.

Burrell, who has closely followed the lives of Harry and Meghan, claims that their social circle in the US is “shrinking.” Notable figures who were once integral to their public persona, such as Oprah Winfrey, seem to have taken a step back. Oprah, who attended their 2018 wedding and conducted their bombshell 2021 interview, is reportedly less involved with the couple now. Similarly, other high-profile guests from their wedding, including George and Amal Clooney and David and Victoria Beckham, appear to have drifted away from the Sussexes.

“Harry and Meghan were the most popular couple in the country at one time,” Burrell acknowledged, “but there’s since been a decline.” This diminishing popularity has led to a noticeable contraction in their social engagements and support from the Hollywood elite.

Back in the UK, the hope for a reconciliation between Prince Harry and his brother, Prince William, seems increasingly unlikely. Following the announcement of the King’s cancer diagnosis on February 5th, Harry publicly stated his intention to visit his father, which he did the next day. However, these visits did not include any encounters with Prince William.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond has noted that William appears to be disregarding Harry’s existence. Bond dismissed speculation about a potential reunion between the brothers, saying, “I think William has enough pressure on his heart and his head with his wife undergoing cancer treatment and his father, and the big job, and his kids. I don’t think he’s got room in his soul to worry about his estranged brother.”

Bond’s insights suggest that William, burdened with his own family responsibilities and royal duties, has no space to prioritize a relationship with Harry at this time. “William has distanced himself from Harry,” Bond concluded, indicating that any reconciliation may be far from reality.

This estrangement, coupled with the shrinking social circle in America, leaves Harry and Meghan in a precarious position. Once celebrated as modernizers of the monarchy, they now find themselves increasingly sidelined, both in their personal and public lives.
