A royal expert has stated that Meghan Markle is unlikely to return to the UK with Prince Harry in the foreseeable future, despite invitations from Prince William and Princess Kate. While Prince Harry plans a brief visit to London in the coming months for the Invictus Games, and has expressed a desire to see his ailing father, King Charles, Meghan Markle’s presence alongside him with their children seems unlikely.

Reports have surfaced that Prince William and Princess Kate have been making efforts to heal the rift with Harry and Meghan, extending an invitation for a family reunion. However, Meghan reportedly declined. Harry confirmed his visit, and royal commentator Esther Krakue suggested that Meghan might be avoiding the UK due to a desire to steer clear of any potential drama or awkward encounters with Princess Kate.

Krakue told GB News, “I actually think she’s avoiding the UK because she’s not interested in the whole drama and, kind of, being injected, is she going to talk to [Princess] Kate, and all of that.”

Security concerns and past legal battles appear to be factors in Meghan’s reluctance. The couple has been keeping a low profile in the US, following Harry’s defeat in a legal battle against the Home Office over his security arrangements. Krakue emphasized that Harry’s legal loss and ongoing security issues have compounded Meghan’s decision to stay away, fearing further conflicts and drama.

“This is going to be a time where the distance between the Sussexes and the Royal Family will be solidified because the focus will obviously be on the Princess of Wales and the King recovering. They don’t need the whole Netflix drama,” Krakue added.

Since relocating to the US in early 2020, Harry and Meghan have faced various legal challenges. Harry’s recent court battle to reinstate his UK police protection was dismissed, leaving him without the security he sought for his family.
