Taylor Swift debuted “How Did It End?” live for the first time during her final 2024 Eras Tour show at Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The haunting ballad is part of her new tracks lineup unveiled since she started the European and U.K. leg of the tour in Paris.
In a surprise acoustic segment, Swift graced the piano with this song from The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. Before the premiere, she engaged with the audience, expressing her love for customizing each show. She honored Swedish music talent, particularly Max Martin, without bringing him on stage, instead performing a “Max Martin medley.”
The medley included the Red vault track “Message in a Bottle,” followed by “How You Get the Girl” and “New Romantics,” all co-written with Martin and Johan Shellback. Previously, she debuted “Guilty as Sin?” from TTPD and a 1989 mashup.
Swift’s tour, modified to highlight The Tortured Poets Department, continues across Europe and the U.K. until August, incorporating a new album section. The revamp began in Paris and proceeds to Lisbon next.
