Anne, an experienced horsewoman, was admitted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with injuries consistent with a blow from a horse. Her hospitalization has led to the cancellation of several royal engagements and a trip to Canada on behalf of King Charles III. Buckingham Palace stated that she sustained minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

King Charles III and the royal family have sent their well-wishes for her speedy recovery. Anne, known as one of the hardest-working royals, undertakes hundreds of engagements annually, with 410 in 2023 alone.

Interest in Anne has grown due to her portrayal in Netflix’s “The Crown,” where she became a fan favorite. The show highlighted her romance with Laurence, whom she married in 1992. Anne has two children from her first marriage to Captain Mark Phillips: Peter and Zara Phillips. Both were present at King Charles III’s coronation in May 2023.
