Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will never reconcile with the royal family until they stop trying to profit off their royal titles, a palace insider has claimed.
Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, have profited about $100 million through lucrative partnerships with Netflix and the Duke of Sussex’s book trading on royal secrets over the past four years.
More recently, Meghan has launched her own product line American Riviera Orchard, a venture she spruiks as “by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex”.
Royal author Christopher Andersen believes the former working royals have “no foreseeable way” of returning to the royal fold following their exit from working duties and betrayals of the monarchy.

“Even if Harry was to throw himself at the king’s feet and beg for forgiveness – which Harry is not about to do – the best he could hope for would be crumbs from the royal table, and the sort of grudging acceptance that is currently being afforded to Harry’s disgraced uncle, Prince Andrew,” he told Fox News on Thursday.
“If Harry and Meghan are determined to monetise their titles, then they’ll just be digging that hole deeper and deeper.”
The Windsor family’s capacity to freeze out disloyalty is notorious stretching back to the decades-long exile of the Duke of Windsor following his abdication and marriage to Wallis Simpson in 1936.
More recently, the late Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson were both effectively exiled by the Royal Family after separating from their husbands in 1992 and losing their HRH titles.

Ferguson reportedly felt the chill after embarrassing the monarchy when reports of her affairs with a Texas oilman and embarrassing photos of the royal topless were published in the tabloids.
For decades, the Duchess of York spent Christmases alone while her ex-husband and two daughters went to Sandringham to celebrate with the rest of the royal family.
The late Prince Phillip was reportedly so incensed by the presence of his former daughter-in-law that he refused to be in the same room as Ferguson.

Noticeably, since Phillip’s death Fergie is once again welcome at Sandringham and royal occasions like Easter Mattins, which the ex-working royal attended earlier this year for the first time in over three decades.
Despite Mr Andersen’s grave prospects for the Sussexes, the author argued that the couple still have a “right to making a living” after stepping back from royal duties.
“If they simply use their California-centric celebrity to build their brand and steer clear of overtly capitalising on the Sussex name and Windsor connection – well, everybody has a right to make a living,” he said.
