‘All I could think about was: must have kids,’ the ‘Breakfast Club’ actress said in a new interview.

Molly Ringwald recently opened up in an interview, delving into her journey of motherhood with her daughter, Mathilda Ereni Gianopoulos, now 20 years old. The Breakfast Club actress, aged 56, shared insights into her experience of becoming a parent alongside her husband, Panio Gianopoulos.

Reflecting on the conception of her daughter, Molly humorously recalled the unique setting: “I believe that Mathilda was conceived in the dressing room at Studio 54 right at the end of my run playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret in 2003.” She added, “It’s so Mathilda to be conceived in such an iconic place.”

The Sixteen Candles star also shared her perspective on the timing of motherhood, expressing that while she always desired children, it took some time before she embarked on that journey. “I always knew I wanted to have children, but it took me a while,” she explained. Molly further elaborated on the challenges she faced, noting, “I was 36 when she was born. At that age, the biological clock is a real thing, and it had kind of become deafening. All I could think about was: must have kids.” Her candid reflections offer a glimpse into the complexities and joys of parenthood, especially for those who choose to start their journey later in life.
