Gabbie Marshall is nearing the end of her journey with Iowa women’s basketball, and in a fierce game against West Virginia on March 25, the guard shined in an important moment for the game.
The fifth-year senior who arrived in Iowa from Ohio several years ago and “didn’t know much about Iowa” is now an “invaluable defender” for the Hawkeyes.
Marshall announced her return to the program in 2023, using her extra COVID year of eligibility.
After Iowa women’s historic journey to the NCAA championship game last year, Marshall, Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and the Hawkeyes have returned to the Big Dance in what many fans hope will lead to a title win this time around.
