Modern-day NBA is time and again criticized for going soft, but is there an NBA star who can get rid of this blot? There is no denying the league in the past used to be more aggressive and physical. And there is a certain fanbase that desires for that era to return.

Appearing on the ‘Truth Lounge Show‘, Paul Pierce and co-host Jason Crowe expressed their belief there is one player in the league who can restore that old aggression of the NBA. Pierce suggested Anthony Edwards‘ name and sought Crowe’s opinion of this. While Crowe gave his approval to Pierce’s suggestion, Pierce emphasized

However, none of the two players harbored negativity, as the two later praised each other. While Edwards stated he has watched Durant since 5, KD mentioned Edwards as his favorite player to watch. But if anything, this is further a proof that Edwards won’t back down in the moment of competition even if his opponent is someone he once admired.

During an appearance on ESPN in 2019, the 7x All Star stated he shut Robinson down and he  McGrady further recalled,

Later in his appearance, he also stated to not get things twisted as he considers Robinson a great player. In fact, T-Mac termed him as one of the best mid-range shooters. As for his altercation, McGrady cited his young age and his first playoff experience as the reason for his aggression. But he re-emphasized he had immense respect for Glenn.

Notably, Anthony Edwards is at a similar young age and the Jason Crowe stated KD instance also came during the playoffs. The similarities tend to point that Pierce and Crowe could be right in their prediction of Edwards restoring NBA’s glory.
