Caitlin Clark ‘Thankful’ for Aliyah Boston, Talks About Her Guidance and Friendship

When discussing the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark often receives praise for her Rookie of the Year-worthy season. However, Aliyah Boston doesn’t always get the attention she deserves. Recognizing this, Clark took it upon herself to lavish praise on her teammate, highlighting their strong bond and Boston’s impressive contributions to the team.

In an interview with Matthew Byne of ClutchPoints during the Indiana Fever’s practice, 22-year-old star Caitlin Clark emphasized the importance of Aliyah Boston. Clark began by discussing how the 2023 Rookie of the Year has significantly impacted the team. According to Clark, Boston has embraced a leadership role on the young Fever team and excels at maintaining high spirits within the camp.

“She just wants the best for every single person. She’s such a positive light in our locker room, she’s a great voice, she’s always there whether things are great or when the things aren’t as great, she’s just a very consistent person in our locker room.”

The former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar then spoke about her friendship with Boston, highlighting how they developed great chemistry from the start. Clark added, “Aliyah and I clicked instantly. Her energy and positivity are infectious, and it’s been incredible to play alongside her and grow together as teammates.”

“She’s been somebody that’s been really helpful throughout my rookie year, obviously having gone through it just a year ago. I think you can tell our chemistry is really coming along and a lot of that has just been developed through games. So the more practice that we get together, only the better it’s gonna get. But, I’m really thankful for her.”

Throughout the season, it’s been clear that Boston has taken on a mentor role for Clark. Whether it’s motivating her on the court or praising her in interviews, their camaraderie is evident.

Their latest social media activity suggests that Aliyah is also working on cultivating a special relationship with Caitlin beyond basketball.
