WNBA Star A’ja Wilson Blasts ‘Lame’ Women’s Sports Site For Disrespectful Video About Nike Logo
Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson is the best women’s basketball player in the world right now.
And she recently released the new logo for her upcoming Nike signature shoe, which… got a lukewarm response.
Members of sports media website ‘Just Women’s Sports’ posted a video on Tuesday of them dissing Wilson’s logo.
“It looks like a vertebrae,” one site member said of Wilson’s Nike logo. Another site member made a joke about the logo being “Ass”.
And Wilson responded to the video with a scathing social media post that received over 300,000 views on Tuesday.
“I get ppl are gonna have their opinions and think pieces & that’s all fine and dandy it’s all apart of it but this is lame asf coming from a site that suppose to be for “us”,” Wilson wrote.
“the only “Ass” I see are the ppl apart of this segment,” she added.
Just Women’s Sports ultimately deleted their initial video critiquing Wilson’s logo, but it can be seen below.
Wilson’s teammate Alysha Clark replied with, “I unfollowed them a while ago b/c they were on some weirdo stuff with how they talked about or celebrated certain players/teams.”
This is a tough look for the women’s sports site.
