The Indiana Fever were defeated by the Las Vegas Aces, 88-69, on Tuesday night.

Fever star rookie Caitlin Clark finished the game with 13 points on 4 of 12 shooting, including 1 of 7 from 3-point range.

That was her lowest scoring output since she scored 7 points against the Atlanta Dream on June 13.

And after the game, Fever fans blamed head coach Christie Sides for Clark’s scoring woes.

“Sides’ bad coaching allowed the team to get trounced and get depressed. I think, actually, that Sides gives Clark mixed commands: One time pass the ball, another time shoot more then, at other times, shoot long 2s. Come on Sides!” one fan wrote in the comments of the Fever’s postgame press conference YouTube video.

“Clark should be taking 30+ shots & there was MULTIPLE x’s she was open yet continues to hesitate. Sides is making her a shell of who she used to be! Sad, just sad. I never said this before but Sides is just awful!” another fan commented.

“You can see why sides spent 15 years assisting loosing teams. when you cannot see your own failures you can drag them on others,” added another.

Sides seems to be back on the hot seat.
