During a recent episode of ‘Run it Back on Fanduel TV,’ NBA insider and analyst for ‘The Athletic,’ Shams Charania, and former NBA player Lou Williams discussed the recent incident involving Jamal Murray, where he threw a heating pad and towel in the direction of an official during the playoff game. Williams expressed his opinion on the NBA’s decision to fine Murray $100,000 for his actions and suggested that the league suspend him for Game 3.
"I love it, the NBA could've easily gave these guys an out, suspend them for game 3, now there's your built in excuse, now the fans are like 'ahh it'd be different if Jamal Murray was playing'. Like nope, you're going to stay here and finish getting your a** whooped."

Jamal Murray has been fined $100,000 for On-Court Misconduct
In case you missed it, here’s a summary of what happened during the second game of the 2024 round 2 NBA playoff series between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets. The Timberwolves won the game, but it was marred by an incident involving Jamal Murray. He was absent in the first half, but when he arrived, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the referees loudly.
In the latter part of the first half, Murray threw a hot pack from the bench area, which narrowly missed Karl-Anthony Towns’ foot as it skidded across the court. The officials promptly removed the foreign object, forcing a short break in the game. The game resumed once the heat pack was taken off.
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray has been fined $100,000 for throwing multiple objects in the direction of a game official during live play; the NBA announced hours after the incident.
