Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend Connor McCaffery, admired the breathtaking view of New York City’s skyline following her selection as the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever on Monday night.
The former standout point guard from Iowa and McCaffrey, previously associated with Iowa’s men’s basketball team and the son of Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery, relax with drinks at The Fleur Room, as evidenced by a photo posted by Clark on her Instagram Story.
Situated on the 35th floor of Chelsea’s Moxy hotel, the glass-enclosed lounge offers panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, spanning from the Statue of Liberty to the Empire State Building, where Clark and her fellow 2024 WNBA Draft classmates posed for pictures prior to the main event. The internet was abuzz when Iowa basketball sensation Caitlin Clark shared snapshots of herself and her presumed partner, Cormac McCaffery, cozying up together on Monday.
Clark has been private when it comes to matters away from the court but didn’t shy away from sharing pics of her with her beau.
“Best end to summer,” Clark captioned the photos she posted to Instagram of the two.
McCaffery later commented on the post, “U CUTE,” along with a heart and fingers crossed emojis.
Clark, 21, and McCaffery, 25, were “believed to have been together for several months now,” according to The Spυπ.
Here’s what else you should know about Clark’s new boyfriend.
McCaffery played six years (2017-23) at the University of lowa, where his dad, Fran McCaffery, has been the men’s basketball head coach since 2010.
Star lowa guard Caitlin Clark appeared in an Instagram photo with former Hawkeye Соппог McCaffery.
The former guard participated in 166 matchups throughout his tenure with the Hawkeyes, marking the second-highest tally in the university’s annals. Over this span, he maintained averages of 4.5 points and 3.2 assists per game, showcasing his enduring contribution to the team. Notably, his impressive 3.59 assist-to-turnover ratio stands as the second-best in NCAA history, underscoring his proficiency on the court.
Beyond his own accomplishments, his brothers, Patrick and Jonathan, are also involved in the basketball scene. Patrick, aged 23, currently serves as a redshirt senior at Iowa, while Jonathan, aged 17, is currently pursuing his high school education.
Adding to their athletic lineage, their mother, Margaret, attained All-American status during her collegiate career at Notre Dame. While the McCafferys boast an illustrious basketball pedigree, they have also grappled with a range of off-court challenges.
