Slices of tomato can work wonders for your skin! We have a fondness for tomatoes. They’re delightful in salads, sandwiches, or atop pizzas. Tomatoes offer excellent nutrition, and surprisingly, they also boast remarkable benefits for external application! Massaging a tomato slice onto your skin can yield remarkable results for its health and appearance.
Say goodbye to acne and hello to tomatoes!
Pores
Tomatoes contain a lot of vitamins, like vitamin A, B6, C, E and K. These vitamins are very nourishing for your skin and help to shrink pores. The acidity of the tomato can help to restore the pH balance in your skin, which will help keep your pores clear. Tomatoes also contains salicylic acid, which is an enzyme that is used in tons of creams and lotions meant to combat acne. So, tomato is really an essential part of your skin care routine; it cleans up your face and helps reduce scars.
Methods
Tomatoes can be very effective when it comes to both light and heavy acne and also scars left by pimples. We’ve got two methods that both work like a charm:
Tomato slices: This is the simplest and quickest method. All you need to do is cut a tomato in slices and rub these slices on your face. Lightly massage the juice of the vegetable in your skin in a circular motion. Now wait for about 10 minutes before rinsing your face with cool water.
Face mask: If you have a little more time, you can also make yourself a fresh face mask. Mix pureed tomato with two tablespoons of plain yogurt. Apply to your face as a face mask and leave it on for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off. The mixture is very gentle, so you can use it every day. Do make sure to make the mixture right before use, though, since you’re using all fresh ingredients.
