As Caitlin Clark embarks on her WNBA journey with the Indiana Fever in Indianapolis, she finds herself in good company. Her partner, Connor McCaffery, is employed by the NBA’s Indiana Pacers. Both athletes honed their skills on the basketball court at the University of Iowa. Clark recently concluded an exceptional college career, becoming the all-time leading scorer and assist leader in Division I basketball. Meanwhile, McCaffery, during his college years, maintained an average of 4.5 points per game from 2017 to 2023 and also participated in baseball at Iowa.
His career was not headed to the pros, but he is still going to reap the benefits in a big way.
McCaffery and Clark, who celebrated their first anniversary, had everybody thinking the same thing about him after they shared a photo of themselves hugging each other after the WNBA Draft.
On Friday, Caitlin Clark was all smiles as she rooted for the Indiana Pacers as her boyfriend Connor McCaffery is a team assistant. The newly drafted WNBA player was seen tossing T-shirts to the crowd during halftime between the Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks during game three of the NBA playoffs.
Clark also spent time in one of the suites, where she continued to cheer on the team and could be seen signing her autograph on a sonogram.
The Pacers won Games 3 and 4 and have to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
Caitlin Clark Looked At As Generational Player That Will Take The WNBA To New Heights
Clark, the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, was selected as the No. 1 pick by the Indiana Fever.
The WNBA Draft had record viewership just weeks after Clark’s Iowa team shattered viewership records during their run in the NCAA
If Clark is great or even better as expected in the league, huge opportunities await the ladies of the WNBA.
