Caitlin Clark, presently one of the most eagerly awaited prospects across sports, sparked instant online buzz with her inaugural training session alongside the Indiana Fever. Fans are buzzing with the question: “Is she prepared for the WNBA?”
Picked as the top overall selection in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark faces significant pressure to excel right from the start, tasked with propelling the Fever towards future WNBA glory—a goal she passionately pursues after falling short in the NCAA national championships.
In a viral video clip, Clark participates in a three-player drill alongside Aliyah Boston, another highly touted talent, during the initial stages of what initially appeared to be a low-key training camp.
Yet, she appears at ease already, signaling a promising start and hinting at her potential to transition her skills from the Iowa Hawkeyes to become the Fever’s primary point guard.
When does the WNBA season begin?
In fact, Reese and Clark will even showdown in preseason as the Indiana Fever travel to the Dallas Wings to open the campaign on Friday, May 3, at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
But for Clark, she will truly kick off her season on Tuesday, May 14 versus the Connecticut Sun at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville (CT) at 19:30 ET (16:30 PT) with the game being broadcast live by ESPN2.
Clark will be a regular fixture on cable as 36 of the Fever’s 40 games will be televised or available for streaming online.
Games can be watched through the WNBA’s League Pass and approved broadcasting partners such as ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Amazon Prime Video, CBS and CBS Sports Network, NBA TV and Ion Television.
